Sebastopol
Why go
For BBQ lovers, you need to give this place a try, and as you all know, we love BBQ around here.
I dream of the confit of oxtail often. The brisket is excellent, as is the smoked turkey. I just wished the sides were better - especially the cornbread.
Opened April 2024 by Kris Austin and Marvin McKenzy (two established North Bay pitmasters joining forces), A&M is bringing legitimate low-and-slow Texas-style BBQ to Sonoma County. Dry-rubbed brisket, chicken, smoked turkey, and tri-tip are the anchors; the confited oxtail is the standout special that separates this from every other BBQ operation in the area. Sonoma Foodies members report brisket 'melting in your mouth at $30/lb' and long lines that start forming before opening.

Noted for being above the typical Thai in Sonoma County. My neighbor raves about it. My standard is Kin Khao in SF and I hope this place comes close.
