Cloverdale
Why I'm intrigued
A serious small-producer wine program and real kitchen pedigree (Eataly, Art Smith), in little Cloverdale. Recommended by the amazing Julie Anne!
The Beet is a farm-to-table restaurant and wine shop that opened in downtown Cloverdale in December 2023. The kitchen leans seasonal and Northern Californian: fresh pastas, sandwiches, salads, charcuterie, and shareable plates. Its wine program, built around small producers and regenerative vineyards, is led by Alessandra Ziviani, formerly beverage director at Eataly Flatiron in New York; the kitchen is run by chef Andrew Radabaugh, who trained under Art Smith and spent more than a decade cooking in Wine Country. Weekends bring Friday late-night dance parties and Sunday brunch. Sonoma Magazine named it one of its 25 Best Restaurants in 2025.
